New Academic Year 2026–2027 Inaugurated at DIVYA DHAMA

The inauguration began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Bishop Leslie and concelebrated by V. Rev. Fr. John Rodrigues, Rector of the Seminary; Rev. Fr. Cyril Lobo; Rev. Fr. Boniface Pinto; and Rev. Fr. Gerald Veigas, OFMCap.

In his homily, Bishop Leslie invited the seminarians to embrace the Propaedeutic Year as a journey of discernment, formation, and transformation. He encouraged them to sincerely seek God’s will, grow in holiness and human maturity, and remain open to being formed through prayer, the Eucharist, the Word of God, and the experience of community life.

Reflecting on the importance of fraternity, Bishop Leslie reminded the seminarians that the seminary is their “first parish.” He encouraged them to cherish their life together as brothers and to learn, through daily community living, the spirit of service and self-giving that lies at the heart of priestly ministry.

He further called the seminarians to become shepherds after the heart of Christ, ready to serve the Church and God’s people with humility, generosity, compassion, and a spirit of self-sacrifice.

The inauguration marked the beginning of another year of prayer, formation, study, fraternity, and vocational discernment at DIVYA DHAMA, as the brothers continue their journey of preparation towards Major Seminary and the service of the Church.

The new academic year at DIVYA DHAMA – Karnataka Regional Propaedeutic Seminary, Moodubelle, Udupi, was inaugurated on 15 September 2026 by Most Rev. Dr. Leslie Clifford D’Souza, Bishop of Udupi Diocese and Chairman of the Seminary.
